BOYS

Team Composition

  • Team Size: Each team will consist of 12 players.

  • Player Eligibility:

    • 10U-Player can’t turn 11 before September 2025

    • 12u-Player can’t turn 13 before September 2025

    • 14u- Player can’t turn 15 before September 2025

    • JV- Player can’t have been on a Varsity Roster during the 2024-25 season

    • Varsity-Player can’t play if graduated in the Class of 2025 (Even if doing Prep Year)

Game Duration

High School: four quarters, each lasting 10 minutes running time with last 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th stop time.

  • Overtime: If the game is tied at the end of regulation, overtime periods of 5 minutes are played until a winner is determined.

5th Grade- Middle School: four quarters, each lasting 8 minutes running time with last 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th stop time.

  • Overtime: If the game is tied at the end of regulation, overtime periods of 4 minutes are played until a winner is determined.

Fouls

  • Personal Fouls: Players are allowed 5 personal fouls before they foul out of the game.

  • Team Fouls: Once a team accumulates 7 team fouls in a half, the opposing team is awarded free throws for all subsequent fouls (1-and-1 free throw rule for the 7th to 9th fouls, and 2 free throws for the 10th and beyond).

  • Technical Fouls: A technical foul results in 2 free throws and possession of the ball for the opposing team.

Free Throws

  • Free Throw Line: The free throw line is 15 feet from the basket.

  • Free Throw Attempts: Players must stay behind the free-throw line until the ball is released, with players occupying spots along the key.

Substitutions

  • Substitutions can occur during dead-ball situations, but players must check in at the scorer’s table.

Dribbling and Violations

  • Double Dribble: A player cannot dribble, stop, and then resume dribbling.

  • Traveling: Players must maintain one foot as the pivot foot when stopping the dribble.

  • Carrying: The ball must not come to a complete rest while dribbling (no “carrying” the ball).

Possession

  • Jump Ball: The game begins with a jump ball between two opposing players at the center circle. After that, possession alternates between teams at the start of each quarter and after every held ball situation.

Backcourt Violation

  • After a team gains possession of the ball, they have 10 seconds to move the ball past half-court. Once the ball crosses the half-court line, they cannot go back across to the backcourt.

Timeouts

  • Team Timeouts: Each team is allowed 5 timeouts per game.

  • Duration: A full timeout lasts 1 minute, and a 30-second timeout lasts 30 seconds.

Protest

  • A team can protest a player’s age prior to start of game. If game has start no protest will be honored once clock starts.

GIRLS

Team Composition

  • Team Size: Each team will consist of 12 players.

  • Player Eligibility:

    • Middle School Division: Entering Grade 6-8

    • High School Division: Entering Grades 9th-12th

Game Duration

  • four quarters, each lasting 10 minutes running time with last 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th stop time.

  • Halftime lasts 5 minutes.

Fouls

  • Players are allowed 5 fouls (personal or technical) before fouling out of the game.

  • Team fouls accumulate. After the 5th team foul in a quarter, the opponent is awarded 2 free throws (bonus situation).

  • Technical fouls lead to two free throws for the opposing team and possession of the ball.

Free Throws

  • Players earn two free throws after being fouled during a shooting attempt (if the shot doesn’t go in).

  • If fouled during a 3-point attempt, the player is awarded three free throws.

  • After a team’s 5th foul in a quarter, all subsequent fouls result in two free throws (bonus).

 Possession Arrow

  • The possession arrow determines which team gets the ball after a jump ball or a held ball situation. It alternates with each such situation.

Substitutions

  • Substitutions can be made during stoppages in play, and there are no restrictions on how many substitutions a team can make during the game.

 Overtime

  • If the score is tied at the end of regulation, the game goes into overtime. Overtime periods are 5 minutes long.

  • Teams get one team foul per overtime period before entering the bonus.

 Advancing the Ball

  • After a timeout or a change of possession, the offensive team has 10 seconds to advance the ball past half-court.

Backcourt Violation

  • Once the ball has crossed half-court, the offensive team cannot return it to the backcourt. Doing so results in a turnover.

Protest

  • A team can protest a player’s age prior to start of game. If game has start no protest will be honored once clock starts.

PRO-AM

Team Composition

  • Team Size: Each team will consist of 12 players.

  • Player Eligibility: Teams may include a mix of professional athletes, semi-professional, and amateur players. For playoff a team is allowed to bring in 2 additional players to play.

Game Duration

  • Game Length: Four quarters each being 12 minutes long.

  • Overtime: If the game is tied at the end of regulation, a 5-minute overtime period is played.

Scoring

  • Point System: Standard basketball scoring applies—2 points for field goals, 3 points for shots beyond the three-point line, and 1 point for free throws.

Possession and Play

  • Shot Clock: A 24-second shot clock is generally used, requiring teams to take a shot within this time frame.

  • Possession Arrow: Jump balls will be used for all jump ball situations after the opening tip-off.

Fouls and Free Throws

  • Personal Fouls: Players are allowed 6 personal fouls before fouling out of the game.

  • Team Fouls: After a team accumulates 6 team fouls, the opposing team is awarded free throws.

  • Technical Fouls: Result in free throws and possession of the ball for the opposing team.

Substitutions

  • Teams can substitute players freely but only during stoppages in play.

Conduct and Sportsmanship

  • Respect and Fair Play: Players are expected to maintain a high level of respect and sportsmanship both on and off the court.

  • Ejections: Players may be ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct, including fighting or abusive language. If ejected from a game a suspension will be given to player at the discretion of the league.
